"It can be lonely writing music in Singapore. It's encouraging when I see musicians freely supporting each other, but the music scene remains fragmented. Most of us exist in collectives. We're immersed in what we like to do. But we're uninvolved in what we categorize as 'not our thing'. Sometimes I wonder if our industry is, by its nature, more competitive than it is supportive.

Maybe I struggle with these thoughts because I'm more introverted. Maybe I follow the wrong social media platforms, and get a skewed perspective of what things are really like. But I hope to find a connection across artists in different disciplines.

There is so much we can learn from each other. So much support we can give to each other. It’s hard enough as it is making a living out of art in Singapore."
